Dear
Families-
Christmas
break is almost here! We have had a great quarter and I look forward to the
rest of the year with these kids. They have all been making so much progress
and I am excited to watch them grow the rest of the year.
Our final
day of school before our break is this Wednesday, December 19th. We
get out at 11:30 and there is no after school so please make sure your child is
picked up by 11:30. Thank you for your help with this!
Report
cards will go home on Tuesday in your child’s folder. Please sign the attached
paper and return it to school. You can keep the report card.
This
Tuesday we will have our Polar Express day. We will be doing a lot of
activities relating to the book Polar Express and have a Polar Express
celebration. Because of this, your child may wear their pajamas to school on
Tuesday. We do have P.E. though so please make sure they wear appropriate
school shoes.
There is no
homework over the break but please make sure you have your child read. It will
make sure they don’t fall behind over the break. Please also have them practice
tying their shoes! This is a very important first grade skill, but many of the
children do not know how to do it yet.
As always,
if you have any questions or concerns please e-mail me at jcochran@lpatucson.org.
I hope you
all have a fantastic holiday with your children! I will see you all back at
school on Thursday, January 3rd.
Thank you
for your support,
Jenna
