I hope you all
had a wonderful spring break with your children! We are getting back into the
swing of things and have a very busy 6 ½ weeks coming up!
The school
year is winding down and the last few weeks will fly by. We are really going to
be working to make sure everyone is ready for 2nd grade. Please help
with this at home by making sure your child is here, on time, every day and is reading
nightly at home!
Book orders
are going home today. If you would like to order please return the order form
and money to school by next Friday, April 19th. You can pay in cash
or with a check made out to Scholastic Book Clubs. Almost every book order has
at least one book for only a $1 as well as many other inexpensive books. This
is a great way to get some books for your child to read over the summer!
AIMS test is
next week. We do not take the AIMS test in first grade, but we need to be
respectful of those who do, so please make sure your child is at school, on
time, all of those days.
This Thursday
we will be having a SPIN at school. It is from 6-7:30 and dinner will be
provided. They will be going over some ways to help your child with math at home
and going over the Lending Library. If you are planning on coming, please stop
by the office and let them know so we will have enough food.
